Jan Kalyan Shiksha Samittee, a not-for-profit NGO and its Civil Service coaching centre SAMKALP were established in 1986 to motivate young men and women to take up the administrative services of the country, as a career with a missionary zeal, nationalistic spirit and a total commitment towards basic human values. Samkalp aims the Civil Service aspirants to imbibe the values of Honesty, Integrity, Compassion, Social Commitment, Excellence, Foresightedness, Determination and Devotion towards duty, along with loyalty and dedication to the national cause and inculcate true Indian values and ethos so that they can become better administrators as well as better human beings.

Samkalp has three campuses in Delhi and has chapters/affiliates in the cities of Jammu, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hubballi, Kannur, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Bhilai, Agra and Thiruvananthapuram. In addition to regular classes for civil service aspirants, we also hold summer vacation camps for school going children from poor families to groom them for high achievements in life and every year we hold a three day Disha Bodh Shivir in which the civil service aspirants learn the advantages of living together as a community and also get an opportunity to listen to the talks of eminent personalities. In order to attract children from weaker sections of society to civil services, we have started Samkalp Gurukul which provides free coaching to bright young graduates belonging to poor families. Since its inception in 2018, Gurukul has trained over 120 such civil service aspirants.

The most popular activity of Samkalp over the years has been our Interview Guidance Programme (IGP) held over a period of nearly three months immediately after the declaration of the results of Civil Service Mains Examination. From 2014 onwards, every year over 50 percent of successful candidates have been getting help from our IGP. In the last Civil Service Examination held in 2020, out of 761 candidates selected by UPSC to the civil services, as many as 404 have benefitted from our IGP.

I welcome to the Samkalp Family all young Civil Service aspirants who wish to render selfless service to the Motherland with absolute dedication and devotion.
